Organic alchemy was created in 2015 by Gabriela Pinango who told us the story of how she became interested in aromatherapy and herbology.
Tell us how Organic alchemy started?
Gabriela- “It is something very funny and quite scary at the same time because I was traveling in the Dominican Republic and being a woman of very sweet blood, the mosquitoes always want to bite me. So realizing how many mosquitoes were in this magnificent country I bought mosquito repellent and started applying it all over my body. After a little while mosquitos were no longer bothering me but I noticed something very strange, the shellac nail polish on my nails had completely melted and it looked like plastic strings coming off my fingers. I couldn't believe that this spray that we put on our bodies a few times a day was causing this reaction on such a strong nail polish and started realizing how toxic this every day body tonic could be. During the trip I did not pay much more attention to it, I just went to get my nails done again and avoided using the repellent near my hands or feet. But when I returned to Miami I began to analyze the situation and to realize the damage that we are doing to our body. Soon I started studying herbology and aromatherapy to find a way to make body products that were not toxic. Originally it was just something for me, but during my studies I developed a formula for a serum which I gave to my mother and my friends and after a very short time they began to ask me for more and more since the results to the wearing them were so amazing. A few months after my brand was born and what is today one of my great passions.
You have always told me about your rose serum, what makes that product so special?
Taty, there are many factors that make rose serum wonderful, but let's start with something very important and that is that it is a 100% natural and vegan skin care. We are used to using chemicals because we cannot immediately see the negative effects, but chemicals begin to rob our body of its own regenerative abilities and, believe it or not, accelerate aging. In addition to all this, each of the ingredients in this serum have been selected to reduce expression marks, eliminate skin blemishes, regenerate elasticity, reduce inflammation thanks to the presence of linoleic acid in addition to other things and thus decrease rosacea and much more. And last but not least helps elevate your mood and reduces the feeling of anxiety and stress since it is based on a wonderful essential oil which is roses (rosa damascena).
What is the future of Organic alchemy?
My idea is to continue developing natural products, at this time I am studying to expand the line to be able to also carry products for the home such as essences, candles and air fresheners and on the other hand to get the other line that will be Soul that will be focused on ways to nourish the soul such as healing crystals, daily affirmation cards, books and other tools that help us improve our moods and help us channel certain emotions to heal.
